the News Letter Archives - from March 2005

          from March 2005 - VRDimension

The waiting's over - VRDimension has opened over the weekend. After nearly a year in Beta to find and fix the bugs, the Town Center opened and dozens of people chatted simultaneously using VR avatars and Voice (a Blaxxun exclusive, what you type is actually spoken). While walking amidst classic edifices, a balloon drop occurred - the first ever in a VR chat to the best of anyones' knowledge. The effect was perfect for a grand opening.

As you enter the community you are met with the tranquil sounds of water stirring at your feet. All around the architecture of the ages reminds you of the simplicity of good times and great friends. At night, let the stars be your guide to and enjoy the untamed beauty of the place we call home.   [from the Town Center description]

Anyone may join for free (all users must register to enter), and if a private home is needed, a mere $1 (one dollar USD) a month is all it costs. Private homes feature full VR chat. In addition, dozens of preplanned theme areas are already available via the Locations choice in the right-paned navigation.
