Guest Columnists!!!

We're once again looking for Guest Columnists. From the corp of Guest Columnists, a Lead Columnist is selected. Articles may be on any subject deemed interesting to the 'Net community at large and should use good sentence and paragraph construction. The lead columnist supplies one or two articles each month. One should be a freeform article similar to the Guest Columnists, and if a second article is desired, from a list supplied by The News Letter.

Sample topics might be anything about E.Commerce, security, computers and the 'Net, VRML, webstandards, communities and community building, graphics on the 'Net, multimedia on the 'Net, weblanguages (HTML, CSS, ColdFusion, and similar), inspirational pieces relating to the 'Net, uncovering scandal and fraud on the 'Net, Microsoft scandals, and similar. Sometimes a regular News Letter staff member will have insufficient time to finish an article, but has completed the research phase of an article. This represents an easy article for the Guest Columnists - all the hard part (research) is done, just a little wordsmithing to produce an article.

Articles should be accurate and nonmalicious - facts should be doublechecked before publication (vetting) - Google is very good for this. Overly sentimental human interest pieces are rarely used. 'Net scandals with easily verified facts are almost always published.

Each Guest Columnist (and Lead Columnist) will receive a full byline, URL link to the homepage of their choosing, and publication of a 20K headshot integrated into their article. Previous Lead Columnists have gone on to rich and successful careers as Virtual Assistants. Let us now if you'd like to be a Guest Columnist. The position is an unpaid one, but generates massive exposure. The News Letter is frequently quoted in other publications.

Lead Columnist articles are always the first headline on the headlines page. Guest Columnist headlines may be in any position on the headlines page (exception, if there's a Lead Columnist). Articles published become the property of The News Letter, though the Guest Columnists (and Lead Columnist) may copyright the article to themselves with the understanding that The News Letter may perpetually publish the article via it's archives.
