from March 2006 - Blaxxun Rumors

Update (December 18, 2005):

The Community Servers went back online sometime this afternoon.

Update (December 17, 2005):

The Community Servers went offline sometime late Monday or early Tuesday. Whether this is part of the planned upgrade or not isn't known, though supposedly that got done last month without a hitch.

Update (December 2, 2005):

While it's way too soon to breathe freely - all appears well with the Community Servers.

Original story (November 5, 2005):

Hopefully, the final word on all the many Blaxxun rumors will be accurate as reported. The final word is that the Community Servers ("The Outers") will be upgraded from Platform 4 to Platform 7 later this month. Many new features will become available at this time, on a sliding payscale from totally free to slightly expensive.

It's also anticipated that there may be a formal registration process for including worlds, some type of quick review to maybe reject some of the more twisted and inappropriate displays. A particular French author who thinks nude pictures of himself are great textures comes to mind as mayhaps a first "no no" vote.
