Bunny Pellets - our rabbit lives on the patio

Bunny Pellets

our rabbit lives on the patio

When she was little (as in she fit in my shirt pocket), Shena lived in the house. As she got older (and the daily "offering" of rabbit pellets got larger and larger) she wound up living in the storeroom. The "let's chew a hole in the carpet" incident helped me make this decision.

Shena ("Queen of the Storeroom") came to live with me like most of my animals, afraid and abandoned. Bubu chased her in the front door one day and she ran between my legs, looked up at me and went "EEEEEEE". Figuring that this translated loosely as "Don't let the dog eat me!", I put her in my pocket and she fell asleep.

As she got older and bigger, the pellet problem, and the chew on the carpet and furniture problem caused me to realize that it would be better to put her in the storeroom. It's warm and she was protected from Bubu. Strange noises from the storeroom merely meant that Shena was up and around.

Recently, Shena's been hanging on the patio. As I'd become concerned about her need for fresh air and a little sun, I think we'll let her stay there. The bonus to her being on the patio is that Cali (eldest kitten daughter) can see and talk to her "funny sister" whenever she wants. Cats and rabbits get along great.
