One of the things that I've always both liked and disliked about dogs is their basic dogness. Of course (except for the talking thing) dogs are exactly like people, right down to an identical social structure.

It's actually too bad they can't talk, sure would make a lot of things easier. They'd probably wind up as a slave species if they could (rather than a companion species), so maybe it's OK that they can't.

One of the better uses for Bubu's pups is as gifts to the local gang kids. Keeps Pacoima Ranch ultra safe. Bubu's part boxer and part dobie, and her usual mate is a boxer and pit bull combo around the corner. Between a ranch full of boxer pits and the local gangs knowing, "that's the place with the great boxer and pit bull puppies" we stay quite safe.
